Cork College of FET- Bishopstown Campus recently celebrated the achievement of two groups of graduates from its Leadership and Management programmes. Graduates achieved the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) Level 4 Certificate in Leadership and Management. This internationally recognised qualification is part of the Bishopstown Campus Skills to Advance offering to companies. Skills to Advance is a SOLAS initiative which provides subsidised upskilling for companies and those in employment.

The qualification was completed by two groups of learners who work in the technology sector. The first programme was delivered to a group of employees from Dell Technologies. This is the third such programme which has been delivered by Bishopstown Campus with Dell and has been hugely successful.

The second programme was delivered for members of the Cork Electronics Industry Association (CEIA). This industry lead, non-profit association represents High Tech companies in the Cork region. This is the second group of graduates for the CEIA.

Valerie Cowman, Manager of Cork College of FET- Bishopstown Campus congratulated both groups of learners on their achievement saying “I want to pay tribute to the graduates of both programme for the time and effort you have put in over the last 6 months or so. It takes courage to take on a programme of learning, courage to put yourself in the shoes of a learner again when coming from a position of expertise within your own professional life. And this is the kind of courage we need in our leaders of the future.”
