Youghal Culinary skills based at Cumann Na Daoine, Catherine St. Youghal

Our course gives you the skills to work in Tourism and Hospitality or to continue to Further Education. Learn to bake and cook with a Ballymaloe trained chef. Learn Sugarcraft with our International award-winning Sugarcraft instructor. The Modules include:

Level 3 Culinary Skills Oonagh Poynton, a Ballymaloe trained chef, provides practical demonstrations and classes where the group learns basic cookery and baking skills.

Level 4 Employability Skills Our staff team support the learners in the exploration of the workplace through IT, work experience, customer service and work placement.

Level 4 Tourism visitor care Our staff team support the learners in exploring what Ireland has to offer to the Tourism and Hospitality Industry.

Sugarcraft (non QQI decorating skills) Maria O’Connor, international award winning Sugarcraft artist (@sugarstudio49) works with the group on various elements of Sugarcraft that include sculpting of cakes and layering of cakes with sugar paste to resemble three-dimensional objects or people.
